Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Tours-A-Plenty Edition

The spring/summer concert scene is really heating up. There has been a lot of concert announcements over the past two weeks and that makes me smile. I already have tickets for some good shows this spring, but I’m anxious to see who will be touring in the summer, which shows I can afford, and how many I end up getting tickets for.

And I’ve also been keeping up with the Live Nation/Ticketmaster merger as that has a direct effect on how, where, and when I’m able to buy my tickets.

This week I’ve rounded up interesting merger updates and tour dates galore for you to enjoy.

In keeping up with the Live Nation/Ticketmaster merger subcommittee hearings, I found the latest report here:

Motley Crue has announced tour dates for CrueFest2. No actual band announcements yet, that will come on March 16th. Check the tour itinerary here:

Papa Roach gave an interview with Live Daily. I’m excited for the new Papa Roach disc and can’t wait to see them in concert with Buckcherry. Tour dates are also included. Check it out here:

Dave Matthews Band has announced a new slew of summer dates. Notice the venue TBA for Boston in late May. Speculation is that they will be playing Fenway Park for the second time in their career. Tickets go on sale March 13th.

Cheap Trick/Poison/Def Leppard. Yes, you read that right. Initial tour dates are available on Cheap Trick’s website, here:

And finally, supposed NIN and Jane’s Addiction tour dates were leaked on the Coachella forums. Don’t etch these in stone, but they seem to make sense.
