Kiss kicked off the US portion of their “Alive 35” tour last night to the delight of a sold out Cobo Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The first thing I noticed about the setlist is that only 1 song from the new album was played, the single, Modern Day Delilah.
Paul Stanley said after the album is released, the setlist may change to include more songs from Sonic Boom. My guess is that they don’t want anyone hearing the songs before the record comes out. Hopefully that means we will get different songs in New York when I see them at MSG. In the meantime, while not my dream setlist, this is still one powerful setlist and has me looking forward to October 10th like never before.
Here is the opening night setlist:
Deuce
Strutter
Got To Choose
Hotter Than Hell
Nothin’ To Lose
C’Mon And Love Me
Parasite
She
Watchin’ You
100,000 Years
Cold Gin
Let Me Go Rock N Roll
Black Diamond
Rock and Roll All Nite
Encore
Shout It Out Loud
Lick It Up
I Love It Loud
Modern Day Delilah
Love Gun
Detroit Rock City
What do you think? Love it? Hate it?
