Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Wedding Anniversary Edition

Today is the date of my 5-year wedding anniversary. For the last five years I have been blessed to be married to my best friend. Catherine is a wonderful person and I am so thankful for meeting her and being able to share my life with her. She’s a very encouraging person and she always helps to keep me grounded, a very strong value in a partner.

We’re going away this weekend for our anniversary. We are heading down to a wine tasting festival in Annapolis where there is food, music, fun, and of course, wine. Lots and lots of wine. This should be an interesting weekend if not a memorable one. I’m just happy to have the weekend alone with my wife. We are in need of some quality time and this will fit the bill perfectly.

Here’s what rocked this week:

Unmixed Kiss
The Metal Den has unearthed a rare Kiss gem – the unmixed cut of the Kiss ultra classic Rock And Roll All Nite. This is an interesting piece of Kisstory. What’s most interesting about this version is the lack of vocals other than Gene’s. No Paul. No Ace. Just Gene singing the song and it sounds like it’s Gene singing the chorus as well with no other vocals. Check it out for yourself.

The Rock N Rev Festival
The Rock N Rev Festival is taking place August 9th – 13th in Sturgis, South Dakota. With bands like Hinder, Pop Evil, Three Days Grace, Wolfmother, Skillet, and the just announced Guns N Roses, this is going to be one bad ass metal festival! Check out the trailer below and for more information, click on the link. If I wasn’t already on vacation that week, I’d definitely have to hightail it to South Dakota.
