New Music Monday Featuring Pop Evil, Brian Fallon, and The Used

Welcome to another edition of New Music Monday! For this early November edition, I’ve got some hard rocking gems for you to check out below!

The Used – Over And Over Again
First up is The Used with their latest single “Over And Over Again.” This song is from their brand new album, The Canyon. “Over And Over Again” is a great alternative rock song as is to be expected from this band. They don’t disappoint and they have released another gem.

Brian Fallon – Forget Me Not
Brian Fallon is one of my favorite artists and getting new music from him is like Christmas morning! And while I still wish we could get The Gaslight Anthem back together, this new song from Fallon is exceptional enough in its own right. Brian Fallon will be on tour this spring, so check out his website for tour dates and if you get the chance, go see  him in concert.

Pop Evil – Waking Lions
Wrapping up this edition of New Music Monday is the latest single from my favorite new(er) band, Pop Evil. “Waking Lions” is just another fantastic song from this band that I can’t get enough of. Their new record will be available in February, but we are blessed with this song to hold us over until then.

The Used Embarking On Anniversary Tour

In celebration of their fifteen-year anniversary, The Used will be hitting the road for a tour in spring
2016. Fans can purchase general tickets for the North American tour now here:www.TheUsed.net. During this run, the band will be playing two shows per city, performing Self-Titled and In Love and Death in their entirety, plus more each evening. The tour will kick off on April 5th in Seattle, WA and wrap on May 28th in Los Angeles, CA. With each online ticket purchase, fans will get a digital copy of the band's upcoming release, The Used: Live & Acoustic at The Palace.

The Used has additionally announced their newest album Live and Acoustic at The Palace, a live CD/DVD, which is set to drop on April 1st, 2016. Fans can choose from four different bundles for pre-order here: http://theused.net/, or pre-order the album on iTunes here: http://bit.ly/theusedliveacoustic.

Live & Acoustic At The Palace was recorded at the band's intimate unplugged storyteller performance, which took place at The Palace Theater in Los Angeles last month. Fans who were unable to attend the once in a lifetime performance will have a chance to watch the band perform in a way they have never performed before - with a 4-piece string quartet and harpist (arranged by Hiro Goto), a piano player, percussion and a 3-piece gospel choir.

Fifteen years ago, four teenagers from Utah created a band and released a collection of albums that shaped the space of the alternative rock scene.  High energy live shows, gut wrenching relatable lyrics, and melodies that blended pop sensibility and hard rock was the perfect combination to make an everlasting impression on fans globally.

Since forming in Orem, Utah in 2001, The Used have released 6 albums and 2 EPs - The Used (2002), In Love and Death (2004), Lies for the Liars (2007), Shallow Believer EP (2008), Artwork (2009), Vulnerable (2012), The Ocean of the Sky EP (2013), and Imaginary Enemy (2013).

The Used's latest LP Imaginary Enemy put the band's political frustrations and commitment to social change at its forefront and has opened up the platform for conversation among fans and critics alike. The album climbed high on the Independent, Tastemaker Albums, Hard Rock, Alternative, Digital Albums and Top Rock charts. Fans can purchase Imaginary Enemy on iTunes here: http://bit.ly/ImaginaryEnemy.

Going into year 15, The Used are stronger than ever and are looking forward to an incredible evening of making memories.

The Used is Bert McCracken (vocals), Jeph Howard (bass), Dan Whitesides (drums), and Justin Shekoski (guitar).

Taste Of Chaos Featuring Jimmy Eat World, The Used, And The All American Rejects

I certainly wouldn’t mind living on the west coast this October. The weather is beautiful, the people are much more laid back, and there is a great little concert taking place in San Bernardino on October 3rd. The Used, Jimmy Eat World, All American Rejects, Mark Hoppus, and Story Of The Year along with several other bands playing an all day festival. This sounds like my kind of day! If you live in the area, or plan to be in the area, I implore you to check out the concert for yourself.Visit www.tasteofchaos.com for more information.

The Used Announce Upcoming Tour

The Used has announced a North American Spring tour with Every Time I Die, The Marmozets, and The Eeries. The tour kicks off on April 3rd in San Diego, CA and wraps on May 2nd in Cleveland, OH. Tickets are available now.

The Used will be touring in support of their newest album, "Imaginary Enemy," which was released just last year. The album, which hit #1 on the Billboard Independent Chart, is available on iTunes here: http://bit.ly/ImaginaryEnemy. For more information, please visit: http://theused.net.

The Used-which includes singer Bert McCracken, guitarist Quinn Allman, bassist Jeph Howard and drummer Dan Whitesides formed in Orem, Utah in 2001, signing to Reprise Records that same year. Championed by producer and collaborator John Feldmann, the band issued their gold-certified Self-Titled debut in 2002, quickly cementing the Used as leaders among the post-hardcore elite, thanks in part to unforgettable singles like "Box Full of Sharp Objects," "The Taste of Ink," "Blue And Yellow" and "Buried Myself Alive."

The band then released the CD/DVD combo "Maybe Memories" in 2003, now certified platinum, featuring B-sides, live cuts, demos and unreleased tracks, while still another gold record followed-2004's "In Love And Death"-spawning singles "Take It Away," "I Caught Fire" and "All That I've Got" - which earned the band their first MuchMusic Video Award nomination. Their latest LP Imaginary Enemy put the band's political frustrations and commitment to social change at its forefront and has opened up the platform for conversation among fans and critics alike. The album climbed high on the Independent, Tastemaker Albums, Hard Rock, Alternative, Digital Albums and Top Rock charts.
