Thank you! This past month of May (2011) was the most visited month in the history of The Rock And Roll Guru. I received more traffic last month than any month since the blog came into existence. I know that a large part of that is in thanks to you, my readers. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been at this for 2 ½ years already. When I started The Rock And Roll Guru I didn’t know if anyone would visit. Years later, it’s nice to see that you are still coming back (and spreading the word). I can’t tell you how much that means to me, and I can’t thank you enough. Without you, my dear readers, this blog would be kind of pointless.

Pop Evil Announce A New Release Date
Finally there is a new release date for the highly anticipated Pop Evil CD, War Of Angels. It appears that the original record contract is what held this album from being released in February. Pop Evil have since signed with another record company and will be bringing War Of Angels this June.
New Iron Maiden Compilation Coming June 7th
In case you somehow missed the news, Iron Maiden will be releasing a double disc of post modern greatest hits titled, From Fear To Eternity. This set contains only the hits from 1990 – 2010. If you don’t own all of Iron Maiden’s later material, then this is a great collection to pick up.
Vinnie Vincent Speaks Out
Vinnie Vincent has released a statement regarding the domestic abuse incident, the animal situation, and what is happening in regards to some new music. Loud Reviews has posted the entire statement. Vinnie Vincent has always been a little strange, but this statement takes it to the next level of queerness. I don’t understand why you would be talking about new music at a time like this.
Do You Really Want A Major Record Deal?
Over at MajorLabelPromo.com, there is a great post detailing why bands would be crazy to ink a major record deal. Yet, 75% of the bands out there today, still wish to do so. An interesting stat. I think in today’s modern world of instant promotion, the record companies are a lot more expendable than they used to be.
