Yesterday was my 4th wedding anniversary. It’s amazing how quickly time goes by. Cathy and I have been together for almost 7 years, and married for 4. She still amazes me on a regular basis, especially when I see how strong, caring, kind, and loving she can be. She’s still my biggest fan, my biggest supporter, and my best friend. That’s a wonderful influential combination to have in my life on a daily basis. Without her, who knows where I’d be? It would probably be some sad, drunken tale of woe. Fortunately, I have her to keep me grounded and on track. I’ve never been more grateful to have someone in my life.
Here’s what rocked this week:
Billboard has redone their entire website. New layout, new navigation, new homepage. I’m not sure if I like it or not. I guess I’ll need to use it for a few days before I make a final opinion. Check it out here: http://www.billboard.com/
Marcy Playground is still around and still making music. You remember…? The band from the 90s of Sex and Candy fame. I was excited to learn they are headlining a club tour with Jimmy’s Chicken Shack. That might be a lesser known band, but they were great in their own right, especially their big single, Do Right. Want to learn more or see where they’re playing near you? Scott Ian says that Anthrax would like to have John Bush back as a permanent singer. I would love to see what new songs they could come up with while he was back at the mic. It would be interesting to say the least. While I’m fondest of the original lineup (including singer Joey Belladonna), I thought Anthrax with John Bush was pretty damn rocking. I’d love to see a new album with him singing lead. Read excerpts from the interview here: Scott Ian Would Like A Reunion With John Bush
Special Note
For regular readers, since I’m on vacation this week, there will be no Saturday concert review and no Sunday CD review. I apologize, but I need the remainder of my vacation for relaxation and down time. I will return with regularly scheduled posts, etc. on Monday, July 27th.
