Down With Webster Announces US Tour With Johnny Craig

Toronto, ON - Toronto-based pop-rock-rap group, Down With Webster, is thrilled to announce their upcoming U.S. tour with Jonny Craig, Kyle Lucas, and Captain Midnite! The band is currently finishing up their current tour with Timeflies and will be heading out on the road with Jonny Craig starting on January 14th in West Hollywood, CA. From their first performance at a high school talent show, Down With Webster have created their own flavor of genre-bending sounds, and blown away audiences ever since.  After winning the "Best Unsigned Band" recognition from Rogers Mobile, DWW attracted attention from record labels, and musical heavyweights including Sir Richard Branson, Timbaland, and KISS front man Gene Simmons. Today, the group is built of two emcees (Cam Hunter & Bucky), a DJ (Diggy), a charismatic lead singer (Pat Gillett), and one of the most talented rhythm sections in the game (Andrew "Marty" Martino on drums, Tyler Armes on bass/keys). One might describe their sound as hip-hop with a hint of electro-alternative, delivered by a kick ass rock band.

In the few years since practicing in their parents garage, Down With Webster's songs have charted at Top40 Radio, amassed more than 500,000 Facebook likes, sold 900,000 downloads and 100,000 albums. Their videos have been streamed over 15 million times, and they've rocked hundreds of shows. It's their tireless pursuit of creating the greatest party on stage that has won them loyal believers coast to coast, and earned them this description from UPVENUE Magazine: "It's like taking a handful of fireworks, lighting them, then throwing them in to a barrel of fireworks."  

Because their music defies classification, and they've been called "the second coming of The Beastie Boys," Down With Webster has earned the respect of, and both shared the stage with, and performed with, LMFAO, Timbaland, Ludacris, Lil Jon, 3OH!3 and even KISS.

Down With Webster's new album Party For Your Life debuted as the #1 digital album in Canada (#2 overall on the charts), and enlisted collaborators Ludvin (Childish Gambino), Boi-1da (Drake, Eminem), and have reunited with production duo The Maven Boys (Meek Mill, Childish Gambino) to help them continue their twist of conventional music genres.  Songs from the album have already been licensed by NBC's hit show "The Voice," as well as CBC for the 2014 Winter Olympics. The band also recently wrapped up a U.S. tour with Hoodie Allen this past spring.

Thousand Foot Krutch Records The "Fists-In-The-Air" Anthems Embraced By Sports Entertainment

TFK HEADLINE “BORN THIS WAY TOUR” BEGINS OCT. 7

Top-selling rock band THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH consistently records the “fists-in-the-air” anthems embraced by the sports entertainment world to fire-up their faithful fans. The band’s second consecutive No. 1 selling Billboard Hard Rock album, OXYGEN:INHALE, released Aug. 26 through The Fuel Music, is no exception. Adopted by the NHL’s Ottawa Senators as their 2014-15 anthem, “Untraveled Road” is like marching orders set to music, with vocals delivered with hip hop urgency before exploding into a chorus that reminds of Linkin Park at their catchiest. The Senators will open its season tonight in Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre arena with a video featuring the song, as well as feature the track throughout the season. Schedules permitting, TFK will also play “Untraveled Road” live in the arena during a home game this season.

“This song is about standing up for what you believe in,” says TFK frontman Trevor McNevan.  “It's about not being afraid to take the first step, or be the first voice. It's about having the courage to be unashamed, and the faith you need to take a step before you can see the ground. The ‘untraveled road’ is symbolism for being at a crossroads, and having to decide which path you're going to take. Sometimes it takes everything.”

“Born This Way” is similarly being fused into sports programming, featured on NASCAR and Southeastern Conference (SEC) college football games on ESPN through mid-December. The song also continues to climb the Active and Mainstream Rock charts as it picks up over 360,000 views and 4,600+ likes on YouTube.

The success of “Born This Way” and OXYGEN:INHALE is giving a significant boost to TFK’s first headline tour in support of its new album. Launching its “Born This Way Tour” into major markets across the US beginning Oct 7 at Mojoes in Chicago (Joliet, IL), the tour then travels through Houston, Dallas, Minneapolis, Charlotte and many more cities before wrapping up Nov. 9 at Jake's Backroom in Lubbock, TX. The Jayhawks Announce Fall Tour Dates

Alt-country/Americana band, The Jayhawks first emerged from the Minneapolis music scene in the mid-'80s with a powerful combination of strong roots/country-rock influence and power-pop melodies. Throughout the band’s history, the Jayhawks have been regarded as a major influence, as well as that of being one of the best bands of its generation.

 Following a successful run of deluxe cd reissues this summer, The Jayhawks will be reissuing their first five major label recordings on vinyl through American/UMe.  For the first time, 1992’S HOLLYWOOD TOWN HALL, 1995’s TOMORROW THE GREEN GRASS, 1997's Sound of Lies, 2000's SMILE and 2003's RAINY DAY MUSIC will all be available at the same time.  All five titles were pressed at QRP and have been remastered on 180  gram heavyweight vinyl.

Two of the band’s most well-known titles, HOLLYWOOD TOWN HALL, and Tomorrow the Green Grass are being reissued after being out of print for several years. 1992’s HOLLYWOOD TOWN HALL, the Jayhawks first major label release was originally a hit, powered by the single "Waiting for the Sun", and it introduced the Jayhawks to a much wider fanbase. 1995’s Tomorrow the Green Grass received positive reviews and birthed the single “Blue.” Entertainment Weekly gave the album an A- rating and wrote "This is everything a country- rock album should be.”

Sound of Lies, SMILE (released on vinyl for the first time in the U.S.) and RAINY DAY MUSIC will be released as deluxe, 2 LP vinyl editions to ensure maximum fidelity.  The deluxe vinyl reissues will include the bonus tracks featured on the recent CD reissues, new liner notes and expanded booklets. The three albums also chronicle the band's evolution into crunchier rock, purer pop and a sort of twangy, psychedelic vibe before coming full-circle with a spare country-rock sound.
