The Boss kicked off his 5 night run of final concerts ever at Giant Stadium last night. The big surprise? Not Born to Run in its entirety (as that was announced earlier in the week). It is interesting to note that the band played the deep cut, E-Street Shuffle. They performed that back in May when I saw them in concert. Born To Run in its entirety coming in right at the middle is an excellent way to play the album. I hope the same is done for Darkness On The Edge Of Town on Friday night. With the exception of the entire Born To Run album, E-Street Shuffle, and Raise Your Hand, there were no huge surprises and the setlist seemed pretty standard for this tour. Well, as standard as one can get for a Springsteen show. I have a feeling things are going to get really shaken up come this weekend.
