As most of the regular readers know, I not only spend hours and hours of my life crafting some sensational literature about music for everyone to enjoy here at The Rock And Roll Guru, but I also write for another amazing website, Hard Rock Hideout. HRH is a great site dedicated to the harder side of rock and roll and I have been blessed with the opportunity to write a bi-weekly column titled, “Vie’s Verses.”
In this edition of the Roundup, I’ve decided to round up some recent Vie’s Verses that you may have otherwise missed. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
Here’s some recent “Vie’s Verses” that rock. Click on the title of each to be taken directly to the post.
Is Guns N Roses Our Generation’s Led Zeppelin?
This piece stirred up quite the controversy. I was called insane, people thought I had to be joking, and one person even claimed that I “drew him offsides,” whatever that means. As much as they didn’t want to believe it, I was serious in my comparison. I think that GnR is this generations Led Zeppelin and the fact that they don’t have a large enough body of work to compare only helps solidify my point. This generation is a bunch of slackers!
A Tribute To The Late Jani Lane
I was very saddened by the news of Jani Lane’s passing. He was one of my boyhood heroes, and the tail end of his life was tragic. This was my soliloquy to him. It was a way for me to say thank you for all the joy his music brought to my life. May he rest in peace.
The Ten Most Uncelebrated Classic Kiss Songs
Every band with a large catalog has this problem. There are always fantastic songs that seemed to get ignored due to the vast body of music that the band has released. In this post, I tried to identify the 10 greatest Kiss songs that just don’t get the attention they deserve.
A Van Halen Fantasy
What would you do if Van Halen, Chickenfoot, and Hurtsmile all went on tour together with a huge VH all star jam at the end of the show? How much would you pay to see that concert? I know I’d be shelling out top dollar. I wish more bands would listen to cousin Ryo.

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Dieting Edition
I decided to restart my diet this week. Maybe it’s the fact that I gained back 12 of the 20 pounds I lost. Perhaps it’s the vanity of knowing that my 20 year high school reunion is another week away. Or maybe it’s the fact that sometimes I just overeat and I know it can’t be healthy for me.
Whatever the reason, I have to admit, dieting sucks. Fruit for breakfast, tuna and red peppers for lunch, and a sensible dinner is no fun at all. Beer is off the list (except on cheat day, which is Saturday for me). No popcorn (and at the movies that is hard) and no Taco Doritos (a real weakness of mine). Sometimes I hate being vain.
I’d love to say the hell with it and let myself go. But then I see myself dropping a few pounds and I feel inspired to continue on. It’s a rough, long road – a lifestyle change, but it is best if I get back on track now. I know come October, I will be much fitter and much happier.
Here’s what rocked this week:
So You Wanna Be A Music Blogger?
I came across an excellent article this week. For anyone who has ever wanted to get into the music blogging sphere, you need to check this out. I wish I had found an article like this when I was starting out. As it is, the post still gave me plenty to think about even after all these years of blogging. This is a must read for anyone who blogs, is thinking about blogging, or wants to be a blogger. And the subject matter is good for any type of blogging, not just music. A worthy read, indeed!
Puddle Of Mudd With Rev Theory And Royal Bliss
My exclusive Puddle Of Mudd concert review for Hard Rock Hideout can be found at this link. It was an excellent opportunity for me to witness Puddle Of Mudd live (my first time seeing them in concert). The opening act was astonishing and overall, it was a fun filled night of hard rock and roll.
Pearl Jam 20
This September will bring forth an amazing moment of Pearl Jam history. Directed, written, and produced by Cameron Crowe, Pearl Jam 20 is the definitive biopic about one of the greatest bands to ever rock the stage. And while there is a book (and a soundtrack) coming out to commemorate Pearl Jam’s 20th anniversary, it is the documentary film that I am most looking forward to. While I will own this on DVD, I have a feeling that I will also be heading to the nearest theater to catch it on the big screen.

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Spring Cleaning Edition
This weekend is one of my favorite weekends here at the Vie household. It’s spring cleaning weekend. Once a year, we go through the entire house and clean everything from top to bottom. We go around getting rid of the winter grime, throw out junk we haven’t touched in a year, and basically make the house shine.
While it’s my favorite weekend, it is the least favorite weekend of Mrs. Vie and our daughter. Both of them give me the same look when I profess my excitement for spring cleaning weekend as they do when I tell them I am going to see Iron Maiden. It’s not quite an eye roll, but it is certainly a look that says “we just don’t get you sometimes.” Well, too each their own.
To their credit, both girls pitch in and help, albeit very begrudgingly. Regardless of their attitude, I am excited for this weekend. I even plan on starting a room tonight so I have one room conquered before the “official” spring cleaning begins tomorrow.
Here’s what rocked this week:
Rockitt Rant Gets It Right
Over at Hard Rock Hideout, Rob Rockitt has blessed us with another wonderful Rockitt Rant. This time, he’s ranting about Poison needing to give us some new music. I couldn’t agree more!
Record Store Day Is Coming
In what is now considered an annual tradition, Record Store Day 2011 is coming up fast. This year it is scheduled to take place on April 16, 2011. This year finds another slew of releases that will only be available at these independent retailers. Most of them will only be available for a limited time. You can get the full list by clicking the link above. Be sure to visit your nearest local independent store on April 16th.
Quiet Riot Hitting The Road With Warrant And L.A. Guns
I’m not sure what to make of this. First, only Australian dates have been announced (so far). Second, should Quiet Riot really be touring? Perhaps it’s best to remember Kevin DuBrow by retiring the band. Last, it’s Warrant without Jani Lane and Phil Lewis’ version of L.A. Guns. If this show comes to the states, how much would you pay to see it? I’d give $10, but not much more than that.
Rolling Stone Magazine's Spring Music Preview
Over at Rolling Stone, they have been kind enough to share their spring music preview, to help us gear up for all the great music that is about to be released. It comes complete with the ability to listen to a song from certain albums. While there are some albums that I am really looking forward to, the one I want most of all is Pop Evil’s War of Angels. Last check, it was still delayed with no new release date.

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Making Time For Music Edition
Here’s a shocker, kids. Your cousin Ryo listens to a lot of records. I know, you didn’t see that coming. Whether I’m writing reviews for this blog, or reviewing albums for Hard Rock Hideout (http://www.hardrockhideout.com/), or just trying to keep up with the new releases as they come across my desk, a lot of music passes my ears. While this is a blessing at times, it can also be a curse. Listening to all of these albums, leaves me little time to listen to the music that I really enjoy. There are times when I can’t crank the Dave Matthews Band or Kiss because I have to write a review for the latest independent release that was kindly submitted for my approval. While I love discovering new music, there are times when I just want to Rock And Roll All Night.
That having been said, I’ve decided to make a deal with myself – a compromise if you will. I believe it’s one that will be beneficial to both my classic side and my new music side. I’m going to make time to listen to the music I love. On weekends, I will be shutting off all the new material I listen to for review purposes, and will only play the records that I really love, or some great gem from the archives of my vault. During the week, I am going to make more of an effort to listen to the new albums that need to be reviewed (most likely while driving to and from my day job). I think this will provide me the opportunity to appreciate the new music, but still remember the great albums in my collection. If you are a producer, band manager, or entertainer looking to have your music reviewed, feel free to keep sending the albums my way. It may take me a little while to get to them, but I promise that I do listen to everything that comes across my desk.
Here’s what rocked this week:
Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart Touring Together
This is an interesting combination. If Rod Stewart is playing his rock classics, then this would be a great tour to see. However, if Rod Stewart is still doing the crooner songbook thing, then count me out. I’m sure that Stevie Nicks will be playing all of her best known tunes (solo and Fleetwood Mac). The Heart & Soul Tour 2011 kicks off on March 20th. Tickets for most dates are available now via Ticketmaster (http://www.ticketmaster.com/). Just make sure you have your Gold Card ready, these tickets are not cheap.
You Could Win A Chance To Meet Eric Clapton
Ernie Ball Inc., the world’s premier string, accessory and instrument manufacturer and creators of the iconic Slinky® guitar string, announced Ernie Ball Presents Experience Clapton and the Ernie Ball Eric Clapton Golden Pick, giving Ernie Ball customers nationwide a rare opportunity to meet Eric Clapton in London or win one of thousands of exciting prizes instantly. Fifteen grand prize winners will get unparalleled access to Eric Clapton’s private rehearsal, an exclusive meet and greet and a ticket to see Clapton live at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The London show is the climax of Clapton’s UK tour in support of his 19th studio album, Clapton.
Each and every pack of Ernie Ball electric and acoustic guitar strings purchased at Guitar Center between February 1st and April 30th will give a guitarist the chance to win one of the 15 grand prizes to Experience Clapton in London, simply by visiting www.ernieball.com/ericclapton and entering the unique code provided inside the package. Select packs will also include one of 5 color-coded, instant-winning Eric Clapton guitar picks. Each pick is redeemable for one of thousands of exclusive prizes including free Music Man guitars, VIP trips to the 2012 winter NAMM show and Guitar Center gift cards, depending on the pick’s color.
Some Reviews At Hard Rock Hideout
In the shameless self-promotion category, something I haven’t done in a while, I wanted to share some recent reviews I did for Hard Rock Hideout. The first is for Ginger Lynn’s Baby’s Gone Bad. The other is a link to my review of the latest Gary Cherone project, Hurtsmile. While Ginger Lynn left a little something to be desired, Hurtsmile is just another fantastic musical project from the highly talented Gary Cherone.

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - New Year, New Resolutions Edition
And the first week of the New Year is coming to an end. As I do every year, some resolutions were made to help make 2011 my best year ever. This year I plan to work harder to get into (and stay in) shape, dedicate myself to writing more, and of course, obtain a new (9-5) job. That is the most important resolution on my list, but the other two are almost as important. I would really like to focus on who I want to be this year and how I expect to become that person. Writing and workouts are two very sacred things to me, and I need to spend more quality time with both of them.
Here’s what rocked this week:
Guitar Center Sessions
Do you have Direct TV? Have you heard about Guitar Center Sessions? Known for its exclusive performances and intimate conversations with revered musicians, Guitar Center Sessions is an in-depth music television series that most recently presented Peter Gabriel, Buddy Guy and The Cult. Hosted by renowned music taste maker Nic Harcourt of KCRW and TheLiveBuzz, the latest episode featuring Joe Bonamassa premiered Saturday, January 1st. Curious about where you can see these previous episodes? Previews and past episodes of Guitar Center Sessions can be viewed at www.guitarcenter.com/sessions.
Hard Rock Hideout’s Best Releases of 2010
Want to know what the best hard rock releases of 2010 were? Well, look no further than Hard Rock Hideout! Not only do you get Rob Rockitt’s top 20 of 2010, but you get Stone (from Metal Odyssey)’s top 10 and your very own cousin Ryo’s top 10 hard rock releases. While my favorite albums of 2010 that were listed here at The Rock And Roll Guru encompass all types of music, the list I composed for Hard Rock Hideout is strictly hard rock. Check them out!
Van Halen Tour in 2011?
It’s possible that there may be a new Van Halen tour this year, but it’s looking less and less likely that it will include a new album to support. This begs the question – are fans willing to shell out the money to see the same tour as last time?

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Dave Matthews Band Concert Edition
Tomorrow night, thanks to a friend who called me out of the blue with an extra ticket, I am going to see Dave Matthews Band live for the fourth time ever. This concert is at Citi Field, a stadium where the New York Mets play their home games. So, not only will I be able to witness DMB live in a stadium setting (something I have never done before), but I will also get to see Citi Field for the first time. What a nice bonus!
Since this is the last tour for DMB until 2012, they have been playing some rarities during their concerts that the fans have loved. I am hopeful to hear some rarities tomorrow night. I would also like to hear some deep classics that I’ve never heard live. No matter what they play though, I am going to have an amazing time. A hot, Saturday night in July, seeing DMB live in New York City – it’s just incredible! Of course, I will have a full review in the days following the concert.
And while I was singing #41 in anticipation of the show, here’s what rocked this week:
Vie’s Verses
Another edition of Vie’s Verses has posted over at Hard Rock Hideout. This time around, I defend Iron Maiden’s fantastic setilst for their current tour. And so far, it appears that a lot of fans agree with me.
Continuing On The Iron Maiden Theme
Janick Gers addresses retirement rumors. All I can say is Maiden better not retire!
Bon-Jovi Live At Madison Square Garden
Here’s a well written review of Bon-Jovi’s latest DVD, Live At Madison Square Garden. After reading this review, I think I am going to have to pick this up. The concert looks amazing and I haven’t seen Bon Jovi live since the Have A Nice Day tour. This may serve as a good fill in until I can see them live again.
Nickelback Tickets On Sale Tomorrow
And finally, Nickelback/Buckcherry/Three Days Grace tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow for most (if not all)) tour dates. Prices range between $50 - $90. If you’ve got the money, this could be one hell of a show!

Friday's Rockin Roundup - Summer Heat Edition
The past few days here in New Jersey have been brutally hot. We’ve hit 90 or higher every day and what that means is that summer is here to stay. To me, summer means movies with my daughter, the occasional ice cream cone, baseball, concerts, and reading. The heat is part of the summer and something that I can adjust to, although I don’t prefer it. However, as I mentioned way back in February, I am not complaining about the heat this year. Not once. I am merely stating the fact that is has been hot outside.
The summer concerts are heating up too. Don’t forget that next week is your last chance to get service free tickets for select Live Nation shows. Visit www.livenation.com for more details. What concerts is cousin Ryo attending this summer? Currently I have the following scheduled: Iron Maiden, Kiss, and Rush. There’s an outside chance for Dave Matthews at Citi Field, and possibly OAR at the arts center. There may be a few more shows at the Starland, The Croc, or The Wellmont – we shall see. All in all it’s going to be a great summer. Enjoy the warmth and enjoy the concerts!
Here’s what rocked this week:
Gibson Guitar Is Having Gibson Days This Weekend
Gibson Guitar, the world’s premier musical instrument manufacturer and leader in music technology announced Gibson Days being held at participating dealers this weekend across the globe. On the last Saturday of every month, official Gibson and Epiphone dealers worldwide invite fans to come to their shops and celebrate Gibson Days. Every dealer gives the event its own very distinct touch while celebrating the many Gibson fans who participate and giving all guests the chance to “test drive” the world’s most popular guitar models by Gibson and Epiphone. Every participant receives a Gibson “fan” shirt and is eligible to enter to win an exclusive Gibson guitar. Check out their website for more information.
Ozzy Osbourne’s Scream
Over at Hard Rock Hideout, I had the chance to review the latest from Ozzy. While I admit, I’ve been disappointed with Ozzy recently, there is nothing disappointing about Scream. Head over to Hard Rock Hideout to read my review and find out why.
Death Of The Live Album?
This is a great article examining the question is the live album dead? I say no to that. DMB, OAR, and other jam bands are live album mavens, releasing them every other year, or in the case of DMB, every year. However, will there ever be another live album that sells 6 million copies? Well, the live DVD has kind of taken over as the live medium of choice. I say yes, though, a live DVD could sell that much.

M3 Festival 2010

The M3 festival is returning this year. What is M3 you ask? Just an amazing day of hair metal music played at maximum volume and one of the better festivals of 2009. It promises to be just as great, if not better, in 2010.
Being held at the same location as last year, The Merriweather Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, this year’s lineup features confirmed acts of Kix, Winger, Vince Neil, Cinderella, Warrant, L.A. Guns, The Scorpions, Nelson Trixter, and more!
Most of my regular readers know that I also write reviews for Hard Rock Hideout (http://www.hardrockhideout.com/). This is the festival that we have chosen to attend this year. Rather than try and brave the mid-summer heat of Rocklahoma, or attend another unproven festival, M3 is our festival of choice for 2010.
M3 promises to be an incredible festival of hair metal music bliss. Last year’s M3 was an amazing event that was enjoyed by all. 2 stages featuring several acts across the day saw some great bands performing. This year’s lineup is shaping up to be even better. With Winger supporting their fabulous new album (Karma), Cinderella performing, and The Scorpions as the big headliners, this is going to be one amazing day of music and mayhem. It will be an excellent introduction to the 2010 summer concert season.
No word about the on sale date for tickets, but I imagine that it would be soon. The website claims that prices and on sale dates should be announced in the next week.
For more information and updates, visit the M3 Festival website at: http://m3rock.webs.com/

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Fantastic Four Edition

I’ve been revisiting my long lost collection of Fantastic Four comics lately. It’s been a long time since these were read, but while doing some cleaning a few weeks ago, I decided to pull out my comics, organize them, and store them away again. When I started flipping through my collection, I got very nostalgic. Before I became such a heavy music collector, comic books were a huge part of my life. I spent years building my Fantastic Four collection. I collected others (most notably Spider-Man), but for some reason the FF were always my favorite. I decided to start re-reading my entire FF collection from start to finish. It’s been a lot of fun. Some of the stories were amazing, the artwork was always great, and now that I’m older, I actually look up the writers online to see what else they’ve worked on. There’s nothing like a little visit down memory lane with old (fictional) friends when time permits. Anyone else out there collect (or used to collect) comics? Can anyone update me on the FF now? I stopped collecting in 1997 due to the amount of money I was spending every week. Perhaps I should go catch up with the current adventures of the Fantastic ones. Hmmm….
And while I was being fascinated by the war cry of “It’s Clobbering Time!!!” here’s what rocked this week:
Hard Rock Hideout Radio
It’s coming, and it’s coming very soon by what I’m told. Hard Rock Hideout, one of the best rock and metal sites on the web will be launching Hard Rock Hideout radio. Sources tell me that it will be launched sometime this month. I’m hopeful that’s true, because I can’t wait to listen. I’ll pass more info along as I get it, but in the meantime, you can always visit http://www.hardrockhideout.com/ for more details.
Springsteen Talks Tour’s End
Bruce sat down with Billboard magazine to discuss plans after the current tour. Apparently, the band isn’t heading into retirement (yet), so that’s good news. I’m hopeful that during the time off, Springsteen will put together a Tracks II set of unreleased material. That would be excellent. http://www.billboard.com/#/features/bruce-springsteen-the-billboard-cover-q-1004049585.story?page=1
George Lynch and Don Dokken Perform Together
This is just another reason why I love Bring Back Glam! so much. Who else would dig this up for us? Yes, George Lynch and Don Dokken actually appeared on stage together. That’s as surprising to me as it to you.

Rocklahoma 2010 Dates Announced
Make your reservations now. Memorial Day weekend, 2010. Hair metal meets modern metal. Personally, I’m waiting until the full line up is announced before I make any reservations.

The Music Elitist
Have you visited this site lately? If not, you probably should. After months of infrequent activity, The Elitist has added additional writers and the blog is updated with some regularity now. While I prefer the Elitist’s posts, one new staff writer (talker) is starting to grow on me. And at least there are frequent entries now. Check it out http://www.themusicelitist.com/.

Musical Watersheds
This is a great post over at Muzzle Of Bees that traces the roots of personal music appreciation. Discussing and making you consider where and how a certain album or band changed your life or really made you think. You’ll note Wilco’s influence, not only in my comment but in several of the comments.

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - Favorite Holiday Edition
Next week is Thanksgiving, here in the United States. A chance to reflect and remember what we have and all that we are thankful for. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far. It’s a time for family and friends to gather together and spend quality time with one another with no other hidden agendas (such as the lure of gifts on Christmas). It’s a holiday that allows families to be themselves, enjoy a grand meal along with one another’s company. It’s a period of relaxation just before the holiday rush kicks into overdrive.
This Thanksgiving, as I’ve done for the past few years, I’ll be heading north with my wife and step-daughter to my brother in-law’s farm. Cathy’s brother's home provides such an amazing escape for us, especially this time of year. It’s also great to see my niece and nephews and spend the weekend with them. It is a trip that I look forward to every year like none other.
With all the travel, and Thanksgiving preparations going on, The Rock and Roll Guru will be silent next week. No new posts, no new concert or CD reviews, and very few tweets. My apologies to the regular readers who look forward to their daily dose of the Guru. I’ll be back the Monday after Thanksgiving and we’ll start doing it all over again, all the way to the New Year. December is going to be a very enjoyable month around here as we reflect on the great things that happened in 2009 and prepare ourselves for 2010.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone! And to my regular readers, thank you for stopping back time and time again. It means a lot to me and I’m thankful to have readers like you.
Here’s what rocked this week:
Megadeth To Tour With Slayer
Megadeth, Slayer, and Testament on a winter tour beginning in January. Talk about mayhem and destruction! Tickets for most dates are on sale now.
More Concerns About Steven Tyler
This is sad. It’s obvious that Tyler has fallen off the wagon and needs help. Addiction is a very tough thing to overcome, no matter how many years you’ve been clean. And while I would love to see a new Aerosmith CD and tour with Steven at the helm, more importantly, I want to see him get well.
Rocklahoma 2009 DVD Available To Order
Covering most of the bands that appeared at this year’s Rocklahoma, this DVD is a 57 retrospective of the past summer’s glam metal festival from Pryor, Oklahoma.
Ladies Of The 80s
Christine over at Hell On High Hells posted this at the end of last week. Matel has announced a new line of Barbie’s featuring out favorite rocking ladies from the 80s. Hmmm, I wonder how they would look next to the original Kiss dolls?
Bob Dylan’s Must Be Santa Video
I was going to write my own post about this, but Sami at Rock It Out Blog already summarized everything that I would have said. I’m just speechless.
Shameless Self Promotion
And finally, you can read my review of Les Claypool’s latest record, Of Fungi And Foe by clicking on the link above which will take you over to Hard Rock Hideout, one of the best, if not the best rock sites on the web.

Friday's Rockin' Roundup - New Logo Edition
I’m working on creating a new logo for The Rock and Roll Guru, one that is designed by yours truly. The trouble is, I’m not much of an artist (in that form of art). When I was a kid, I used to draw a lot. I would spend hours replicating the comics, drawing my own action heroes, and endless amounts of cars and houses. I’ve been conjuring up my inner child for this project as I try to draw the perfect logo, one that I would be proud to use on my blog. It may take some time (and multiple designs), but it will certainly be a piece of artwork that I will be proud of. It will also be displayed on my header, on my twitter page, and wherever else the Guru can be found. I’m looking forward to unveiling the final artwork in the coming weeks.
Here’s what rocked this week:
Nine Inch Nails Plays The Downward Spiral in its Entirety
This is a great post/review of one of the “farewell” concerts from Nine Inch Nails that took place at Webster Hall in New York City. The review is great and the coolest thing is the setlist. Reznor decided as a farewell treat he would play his opus in its entirety. Wild!
Kiss Announces Alive 35 Tour Dates
Kiss has announced their tour dates and locations for the highly anticipated Alive 35tour. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow at 10:00 AM for the first wave of shows. They are playing one show (so far) in my area. That’s on October 10th and I’ll be there for certain!
New Lynch Mob CD
You can read my review of the latest Lynch Mob CD, Smoke and Mirrors that I wrote for Hard Rock Hideout. Let me tell you, it was so great to hear Oni Logan singing with George Lynch again. The real Lynch Mob are back (sort of). Read the review.
Navigating Music On The Web
This is a great post about all of the music streaming sites that are available online and an in depth portrait of each. The obvious ones (like Last FM) I knew about, but this article lists a lot of services that I never heard of. A very interesting read.

Hard Rock Hideout
If you’re a hard rock fan (and if you’re reading this site, you must be), then there’s a small spot on the web that you should definitely check out. The site is Hard Rock Hideout, Rob Rockitt’s little page about all the latest happenings in hard rock and heavy metal.
Updated almost three times daily, Hard Rock Hideout has classic album reviews of heavy rocking bands that I either forgot about, or never heard of. There’s also plenty of brand new CD reviews too, usually posting the day before the disc arrives in stores. His reviews avoid all the corporate magazine style of writing and tell it like it is, just as if you were telling a friend whether you should buy a particular disc.
Keeping a finger on the pulse of the hard rock community, Hard Rock Hideout gathers information from all over the web to keep us posted. It’s one of the sites that I read daily and it’s worth the visit. When a band is giving away a free download, HRH is the first site to post it. Thanks to HRH I was able to get a free copy of Jetboy, stream the new Hinder CD before purchase, determine that I had to own the new Nickleback disc, and pick up links to other free discs or singles.
A monthly, new release calendar is kept, telling what is out, what’s coming out, and what keeps changing release date-wise. Concert reviews are posted as well, and HRH gives one of the most detailed concert reviews there is. Telling the story from beginning to end, posting pictures, setlists, and personal videos of the show, you get the real experience of having been there, and it definitely helps determine whether you should attend.
A sidebar listing of all the bands covered on the site is a neat little tool. Clicking on one of the bands brings up a link of band related posts, in case you want to read a lot about one in particular. A lot of the band logos are also included, which is just an enjoyable extra.
If you’re looking for comprehensive concert reviews, CD reviews, or the latest news in hard rock happenings, be sure to check out the Hard Rock Hideout. It’s worth the visit and a few clicks. You may wind up being there a lot longer than originally anticipated.
